International Office

Welcome to the International Office at MPI-TM! 

Each year, our institute receives a large number of students, interns, doctoral researchers, postdocs and senior scientists from all parts of the world. Our purpose is to provide you, our newcomers, with support and information which will enable a smooth transit into a successful and exciting work period at the institute.

For newcomers, there are various resources which can help in obtaining general and local information useful for your stay:

  • The Max Planck Society provides information in the guide book „Living and working in Germany“. You can take a virtual tour of the Society at the MPG City website.
  • Our „New employee guide to the MPI-TM Marburg“ provides detailed information on many aspects of work & life at the Institute and in Marburg. You will receive a copy of this document from the Human Resources together with your contract.
  • Additional complementary information for internationals can be obtained via the UMR‘s international Office or the MPG‘s Postdoc association.
