Service

The scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology are supported by several service facilities. These groups are under permanent development according to new requirements of the scientist.

The Administration runs the day-to-day business of the Max Planck Institute and supports the board of directors in preparing and implemen-ting decisions. The administration provides services for all the staff at the MPIterMic. This includes teams of the Human Resources, accounting and purchasing unit, travel management, laboratory safety as well as house technique and construction coordination.
Core Facilities play a crucial role in enabling scientists to achieve ambitious research goals and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of scientific research. Our core facilities are open to all researchers at MPIterMic, and to researchers from other academic institutions. Each facility is run by a Head of Facility who is responsible for daily operations and ensuring high user satisfaction.
The IT Service Desk is committed to solving problems and restoring productivity. They are capable of managing incidents and service besides handling user communica-tions for things like outages and planned changes to services. Our IT Service Desk try to ensure that users receive appropriate help in a timely manner.
