“Welcome to the September Science Academy”

“Welcome to the September Science Academy”

The September Science Academy is a fully funded international summer school for postdoctoral researchers and advanced PhD students who identify as women or belong to other marginalized gender identities, working in the microbial and molecular biosciences. Hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology in Marburg, the program invites early-career scientists from all over the world to explore cutting-edge research, connect with the institute’s scientific community, and discover new career opportunities.

Participants will present their own research, engage in scientific discussions, join lab tours, and take part in workshops on leadership, grant writing, and career development. The academy encourages women and members of other marginalized gender identities to actively shape their scientific path—and to consider the institute as a place to take their next step.
