DynaPore spinoff
“From signal to action, effortlessly”
About us
DynaPore is a spinoff of Tobias Erb’s group at MPI-Marburg focused on commercializing our membrane-based bioelectronic sensor built around an engineered ion channel.
Our technology
Specific binding by our engineered dynamic pore technology causes a direct label-free change in electrical current. This technology uses a simple workflow to quickly identify biological interactions, with a digital readout. We are using this platform to develop a fast and specific way to detect contaminants and pathogens, even in complex samples. Patent filed.
Disruptive business potential
Culture-based microbiological typing tests require days for pathogenic cells to grow. Faster methods, such as PCR, require a complex workflow resulting in high costs. Our direct label-free binding based bioelectronic detection innovation enables bacterial typing in minutes at the point-of-need, even in complex samples. We are addressing the severe problem of bovine mastitis in the dairy industry, by enabling veterinarians to confidently make therapeutic decisions with a simple diagnostic test in a few minutes during a single farm visit.
